Text Field Filter

The Text Field Filter allows one to search the values of a datalist column using a text box in a datalist.

Configure text field

To set up a Text Field, go to Design, select a list filter element, click the element to open the general settings, go to the Type field, and select Text Field.

When you select Text Field, you will see the following properties from the element available for configuration:

• Default Value: Defines the prepopulated value of this datalist filter upon viewing the datalist.
• Filter Type:
  • Number: Options include Larger than and smaller than.
  • String: Options include Starts with, Ends with, and Exact.
• Additional Search Filters: Select box with all the columns to choose from.
