Row Number Display Column

Introduction

The Row Number element in Joget's List Builder allows you to display sequential row numbers in a list view. Here’s how you can utilize and configure it:

Add a row number display column

To add a Row Number Display Column in a List, follow the steps below:

  1.  It can be found under the Display Column section in the List Builder. You may also find it using the Search Palette by keying in Row Number.
  2. Drag and drop into the List, and click on it to configure it.

Configure row number

When configuring the Row Number Display Column, you will see the following menu on the right side.

Configure the following properties:

  • Label: Customize the label for the Row Number element. The default label is Row Number.
  • ID: ID of the Row Number element.
  • Number of Digits (Adding Leading Zero)

    How many digits is to appear in this column, accomplished by adding leading zeroes.
    Default value: Unset (or 0).

    For reference:

    • Unset (or 0): Displays row numbers without leading zeroes.
    • 3 Digits: Displays row numbers with leading zeroes to make it three digits long.
    • 7 Digits: Displays row numbers with leading zeroes to make it seven digits long.

Expected outcome

This feature is particularly useful for applications where users need to see a clear, sequential numbering of rows in lists, enhancing the readability and usability of the application interface.
