Nested List Formatter

The Nested List Formatter in Joget enhances the functionality of your parent list by embedding a child list within each row. This allows end users to access related data directly without navigating away from the current view, streamlining their workflow and improving data accessibility.

Configure nested list

To add this Formatter, go to the element's properties under Formatter and choose Nested List in the Formatter field.

When adding Nested List, you will see the following fields available for configuration:

  • Nested List: Select the list to be nested for all rows of the configured column.
  • URL Request Parameters for Nested List: Filter the nested list based on row data from the selected parent column.
    • Parameter: URL request parameter for the nested list filter to match results with.
    • Column Name: Parent list column value to filter with the specified nested list filter.
    • Default Value: Default value to filter with upon loading the page (optional).
  • Export Options: Enable any of these file formats for export:
    • PDF
    • Excel
    • CSV
    • XML
  • Add Empty Row for Excel & CSV After Nested List?: Adds an empty row in the exported Excel and CSV files after the nested list.
  • Custom Header Color: Customize the nested list's header color.
  • Header Background Color: Enter a hex color code or use the color picker.
  • Header Font Color: Enter a hex color code or use the color picker.
