Formatting and Making Foreign Key Reference Using Default Formatter

Introduction

In this article, we will explore how to use the Default Formatter to apply custom styling to columns and make references to foreign tables. This method allows you to enhance the appearance of your list views and link data from related tables seamlessly.

Note:
The same can be done using the Options Formatter.

How does it work?

To format and reference foreign keys using the Default Formatter:

  1. Go to the configuration settings of your column and select the Default Formatter. This will allow you to apply standard text formatting.

  2. In the Default Formatter settings, you can configure the foreign key reference by setting it up in the Configure Foreign Key tab. This links your column to the relevant foreign table.

  3. Once configured, the list will display the formatted data and show references from the foreign table as defined.
