Apps and the App Center

In the Joget ecosystem, you find various apps ranging from simple database-driven ones to more complex approval workflows and comprehensive solutions like Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Apps are web applications designed to run on the Joget platform. These apps seamlessly integrate workflow management, data administration, and robust reporting capabilities, empowering your digital transformation journey.

You have the freedom to personalize or craft your very own version of the App Center. See the Customizing App Center guide for detailed information on customizing the App Center.

App center

The App Center serves as the default landing page in Joget DX, displaying a grid of published apps. These apps can range from simple database-driven applications to complex solutions incorporating workflows, data management, and reporting.

To access the App Center:

1. Open a web browser.
2. Go to the Joget server at http://localhost:8080/jw. Replace "localhost" and "8080" with the appropriate server host and port as necessary.
3. Click Login link at the top left of the page.
   
   
   
4. Enter your credentials. Different apps may be available depending on your permissions.
   

   Sample logins provided in a standard installation:

   • Administrator:
     • Username: admin
     • Password: admin
   • Normal User (Employee):
     • Username: cat
     • Password: password
   • Normal User (Manager):
     • Username: clark
     • Password: password
     Note: Click All Apps will only work if the user logs in as admin.
5. Click All Apps.
6. Use the search box to find an app, such as typing claim to locate the HR Expenses Claim App.
   
7. Click the app's box to launch it in a separate browser window.

Installing apps from Joget marketplace

The Joget Marketplace provides an easy way to integrate new apps into your Joget instance, expanding your toolkit.

To install apps from the Joget Marketplace:

1. From the App Center, click on Download from Marketplace.
   
   

   Important
   

   • You don't need a Joget Marketplace account to access it. However, you'll need to register for a separate Joget Marketplace account to be able to download and install apps.
   • Ensure you are logged into the Joget Marketplace through the App Center, or you will not be able to install apps.
   
2. On the app page, you find the app ratings, price, images regarding its interface, and a complete interface. To integrate the app into your Joget instance, click Download.
   

Templates

This is a feature that allows app designers to templatize existing apps by modifying entity names in the app design. o use the Templates solution, use the steps below:

1. From the App Center, click Templates to view all available templates.
   
2. Hover over any template to see options such as Use The Template or More Info.
   

Alternative Method:

1. Access the Design App tab.
2. Select Create New App.
   

3. Use the Create From Template to create a new app based on a existing template.
