Licensing FAQ

This section provides clear and concise answers to frequently asked questions regarding licensing and application installation in Joget. The goal is to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the platform's licensing process and application installation so you can make the most of its features.

What is an enterprise user in Joget?

An enterprise user in Joget needs to log in to the Joget platform to use the system. This type of user is typically found in business environments and may require access to specific features and functionalities based on the organization's needs. Depending on their role and permissions, this user can be either an end user who uses the application created with Joget or one who builds applications using Joget.

What is the user license type?

In Joget, the license type is determined by a flexible licensing model, allowing users to define their access and privileges on the platform. It may vary depending on your edition of Joget and your organization's specific needs. Depending on their role and permissions, the license type can apply to end users who use the application and users who create applications with Joget.

What is the difference between the editions offered by Joget?

Joget offers two distinct editions:

  • The Community edition caters to enthusiasts and developers willing to troubleshoot independently.
  • The Enterprise edition is meticulously tailored for companies in need of a production-ready product with enterprise-level features and support.

Each edition provides varying levels of support and features, so it's essential to choose the one that best fits your organization's needs.
For additional information regarding the different editions offered by Joget, see Features - Joget

What does the term 3 users free mean?

In the Joget Enterprise Edition, three free users are automatically included. These three users have access to log in to the Joget platform.

Important
If you have applied a trial activation for more than three users, note that when the trial license expires, it will automatically revert to the permit for the three free users, as described above. Before the trial license expires, ensure that your admin user is one of these three users. Otherwise, there will be no user with administrator access to the system.

For example, in your user list, the first three will always be free and appear alphabetically by username. The following image shows that these three users are Admin, Cat, and Clark. If we delete the user "Cat," "David" will take one of the first three spots and remain free.

How can I get my system key?

1. You will see a license link; click this link.

2. Dialog box containing your System Key will open.
