List Settings

List Settings allow you to configure the basic settings of the List.

Basic properties

To go to List Settings, go to List Builder and select Settings.

When you select Settings, you will see the following basic properties available for configuration:

  • List ID: ID of the List.
  • List Name: Name of the List.
  • Hide Page Size Selector: Check this box to hide the page size selector for end users.
  • Template: Change the appearance of the data list with the following options.
  • Page Size: Default number of items displayed per page.
    • 10
    • 20
    • 30
    • 40
    • 50
    • 100
The Default size is 10, but it can be overridden by adding your own message key value with the key dbuilder.defaultPageSize in Platform Translation.
  • Order: Order sequence
    • ASC - ascending
    • DESC - descending
  • Order By: Column used for ordering/sorting.
  • Description: Description of the List for developer/admin use.
  • Use session to store list state?

If this option is selected, Joget will retain the list settings previously configured for the logged-in user. These include:

    • All column filter values.
    • Page size.
    • Page number position.

These list settings will remain unchanged as long as the user remains logged in. However, all list settings will revert to the default values upon logging out and then logging back in again.

For example, if the page size was previously set to 50 rows in the List Builder, it will revert to this value. All column filters will be blank unless a default value is set in the column settings.

  • Only show data when filters are submitted?: Display List results only after users input filter values and click the Show button.
  • Consider filter value when getting total size?: Include filter values when displaying total records in the menu.
  • Display row actions in single column?: Display actions for every row in one column.
