Joget Low Code Application Platform for G Suite

Introduction

Joget Low Code Application Platform for Google Workspace is a cloud-based platform that allows users to build web applications and automate processes quickly. Seamlessly integrated with Google Workspace, you can visually design your custom applications or download pre-built applications from the Joget Marketplace.

Google Workspace (formerly known as G Suite) is the popular productivity software offered by Google. It comprises popular tools such as Gmail, Calendar, and Drive, among others, and provides users with excellent collaboration features in the cloud.

However, sometimes more than collaboration tools are needed. Organizations require custom software or applications that solve specific business problems. That's where Joget comes in.

  8. You can log in to the Joget installation using the Sign in with Google button or the default admin user account credentials.

The Joget Low Code Application Platform icon will appear in the Apps Launcher, located at the top right of the header of your Google Workspace within your Joget domain.

Integrating google workspace users and groups

When you first log in to the Joget installation using single sign-on (SSO) with your Google Workspace account, a Joget user account is automatically created associated with that Google Workspace account.

Additionally, you can configure the Joget installation to automatically sync all users and groups from your Google Workspace domain. This means that Joget will automatically import user and group details from your Google Workspace domain, making it easier to manage users and assign permissions in Joget. To do this, follow the steps:

  1. Log in to Joget as an administrator.
  2. Go to Settings > Directory Manager Settings.
  3. Click Configure Plugin for the Google Directory Manager.
  4. In the Plugin Configuration, click on the Advanced tab.
  5. Fill up the required information and click Submit.

This is the information you need to provide in the Advanced tab:

  • Application Name: The Joget Google Directory
  • Google Apps Domain: Your Google Workspace domain e.g. example.com
  • Google Apps Admin Email: The Google Workspace domain administrator email e.g. admin@example.com
  • Joget Admin Users: The list of usernames with Joget administrator access (separated by commas e.g. admin, demo).
  • Fallback Admin Username: The username to login as an administrator in case of misconfiguration.
  • Fallback Admin Password: The password to login as an administrator in case of misconfiguration.

Joget will automatically fetch users and groups directly from the Google Workspace domain if the setup succeeds. This means you won't need to manually add users or groups in Joget, as they will be synchronized automatically from Google Workspace.
