Protected App Set Up

The Protected App set up process aims to ensure that your deployed applications in Joget DX8 are protected by requiring a specific license. This ensures that only authorized users can access and use your applications, enhancing security and control over resources on the platform.

The Protected App set up process involves exporting the application and requesting its protection. Following the next steps, you can protect your applications.

Exporting the app

First,  you need to export the application you want to protect. The following steps describe the necessary actions:

1. From your Joget DX8 App Center, launch the App Composer of the App you wish to export by clicking the Pencil icon.
2. Click Versions if you want to check or change the app version you are exporting. If you want to export a different version, select it.
   
3. Check those you wish to export and click Export again.
4. A .jwa file will be downloaded to your computer.

Request app protection

1. Open your web browser, go to the License Activation site here. 
   

   

2. Click App Protection & License and select Request App Protection.It will direct you to the Enterprise Support Page.
   
   
   

   Important

   • Since App Protection is by default for those who have active subscription for Enterprise License / Software assurance, Enterprise Support Account access should be given to the active subscriber.
   • Should you have not received a login, please contact your sales representative to have a login account to submit a Support Ticket.
3. Once you have logged in, submit a support ticket. To fill in the Description field, use the following template containing the necessary fields for your request.

4. You will receive an email containing further instructions.

Auto generation in Joget Marketplace

Automatic generation in the Joget Marketplace allows partners and collaborators to effectively protect their applications. This process not only simplifies application protection but also ensures that security measures and controls are implemented according to the developer's preferences.

1. Go to Joget Marketplace.
2. Partners or Contributor submit their applications to the marketplace.
   • Submission: Specify whether the application should be free and protected or application protected.
   • Auto Generation: The marketplace plugin automatically manages application protection based on the selected settings. This includes integrating security measures, applying access controls, and implementing legal safeguards.

By following these steps, partners can ensure their products are protected according to their preferences, and Joget can facilitate the process seamlessly within the Joget Marketplace.
