Form Column

The Form Column is a placeholder designed to hold Form Elements in Joget's Form Builder. Each section has one column by default, but more columns can be added at the section level to customize the layout of your form.

How does it work?

Use the built-in App Expenses Claims to see how the Form Column works. Follow these steps:

  1. Start the Joget Server and open the App Center.
  2. Log in as admin and click the pencil icon on the Expenses Claim to open the App Composer.
  3. Click Expense Claim New to be directed to the Form Builder.
  4. Click any field, then click on the select parent button. The column will be selected, and the Configure Column properties will open.

  5. To add new columns, click the section for the options to appear, then click the Add Column button.
  6. To edit a specific column, click anywhere within that specific column.

Configure column

Configuring the Form Column involves setting labels, widths, and layout arrangements to organize the form elements effectively.
Fields to configure:

  • Label: Column label. It is blank by default.
  • Width: Width of the element. You can specify the width in percentages or pixels.
    For example, 30% or 120px
  • Horizontal Layout: Determines the horizontal layout arrangement of the elements contained within the column.
