Monitoring Apps

Administrators can effectively monitor and manage the state of all processes within Joget. This includes tracking performance, auditing user actions, checking process completion statuses, and analyzing system health. Key monitoring tools include the Audit Trail, Governance Health Check, and log viewers.

Monitor menu

The Monitor menu provides access to tools and logs that help administrators oversee and manage Joget processes and system performance.

  1. To access it, click Monitor in the Admin Bar below.
  2. On the sidebar to the left, you will see the following options:
    • Running Processes / Completed Processes: This option shows lists of running and completed processes, respectively.
    • Audit Trail: Displays audit trail information, including user authentication.
    • Tomcat Logs: Allows administrators to download Tomcat log files to their local storage. This menu is not available for users of Joget Cloud On-Demand.
    • System Logs: Allows administrators to view the latest Tomcat logs (up to 200 KB) for troubleshooting. Click the Download button to download the logs as a text file. For more information, see Web App Log Viewer.
    • Governance Health Check: Allows administrators to view the status of performance, quality assurance, and Joget's security for the last week.

Audit trail

The Audit Trail logs actions performed by users across the system. This feature is important for tracking user activities, ensuring compliance, and auditing changes within the system. Connected apps in Joget DX 8 create logs based on network events, capturing a sequence of activities or specific events.

Log of action includes:

  • Timestamp: Specific time of the performed scenario.
  • Username: Individual username of the task.
  • Method: Methodology used, such as updating, modifying, etc.
  • Message: Specific ID, version, status, etc.
  • Class: Defines the Java class mentioned in the backend code.

Web app log viewer

The Web App Log Viewer lets administrators view system and app-specific logs directly on the web console. This feature is essential for identifying and troubleshooting errors in real time.

Types of logs:

  • System Logs: Displays system-wide log information and errors in all apps.
  • App-specific Logs: Displays log information and errors related to the selected app.
