Plugin Template - Process Tool

Introduction

The Process Tool plugin allows you to automate tasks within your Joget application by mapping tools to processes. In this guide, you will demonstrate how to use the Process Tool Template to map a tool to a process using the Email Tool as an example.

You can download the Plugin Template Pack from the JogetOSS GitHub repository.

How to install

  1. Click Download on this plugin screen (It will be a .jar file).
  2. Go to your Joget localhost or server. In the Joget Console, go to Admin Bar > Systems Settings > Manage Plugins and click the Upload Plugins button.
  3. Under Upload Plugin, select the plugin .jar file you downloaded and click Upload.
  4. Depending on the plugin type, you can now view your new plugin in your form, List, or UI Builder.
  5. Remember to uninstall the old plugin before uploading a new version.

How to use it

  1. Launch the Plugin Template Demo app and navigate to the Plugin Template Management Page.
  2. Click on the New button to create a new template.
  3. Fill in the Plugin Template Management Page details.
  4. For the Plugin field, select one of the options under Process Tool. In this demo, the Email Tool is selected.
  5. Click the Configure Plugin button to set up the Email Tool. 
  6. Once configured, click Submit to save the settings. 
  7. Save the Plugin Template by clicking Save.
  8. The Process Tool Template is now ready to be used in your process.
  9. Go to the Processes tab and select Map Tools to Plugins.
  10. Click the Add/Edit Plugin button and map your Process Tools to the appropriate Process Tool Template you created.
  11. After clicking on the Add/Edit Plugin button, select Plugin Template - Process Tool from the dropdown.
  12. Choose the template you created for your Process Tool and click Submit to save the mapping.
