Password Protected PDF Tool Plugin

Introduction

The Password Protected Pdf Tool plugin allows you to generate password-protected PDF documents. It supports multiple file uploads.

Prerequisites

• You need access to Joget DX.
• Basic knowledge of creating apps in Joget.

You can find the Password Protected Pdf Tool plugin in the Joget Marketplace.

How to install

1. Download the plugin JAR file from the releases page.
2. Go to Settings > Manage Plugins > Upload Plugin.
3.  You can import the demo app or create the app from scratch.

How to use it

Creating the app from scratch

1. Create a new form called File Upload and Download with two File Upload elements.
   
2. Create a list and CRUD for the form.
   
   
3. Go to the List - File Upload and Download and add File Upload as a column.
   
   
4. In the File Upload and Download form, attach the Password Protected Pdf Tool in the Post Form Submission Processing section.
   
   
5. Fill in the plugin configurations, including the password for the PDF, and Save the form.
   
   
6. Go to the UI > Manage File Upload and Download, upload a new PDF file, and click Save.
   
   
7. You can see how the file is generated, with the default name based on Table 1 and click edit.
   
   
8. You can see that the PDF file has been encrypted.
   
   
   
   
9. Enable the Enable Multiple Files Upload checkbox, save the form, and return it to the UI.
   
   
10. Upload multiple files, and you can see that multiple files with password protection are generated.
    
    

Configure password-protected file properties

Fields to configure:

Source File

• Choose Form: Form where the field for the source file resides.
• Choose Field: Field of the source file.

Password

• Password: Set a password for the generated PDF file.

Output File

• Choose Form: Form where the field for the source file resides.
• Choose Field: Field of the source file.

Expected outcome

You will be able to add a password to multiple PDF files.
