Report Properties

Introduction

The Report Builder allows you to customize report layouts easily. The Report Properties section defines how your reports will look and behave. This documentation will guide you through the available settings and help you configure your report properties efficiently.

Get started

To begin configuring your report properties, familiarize yourself with the various options available to control the report's appearance and behavior.

Configure report properties

Go to select Report Builder > Settings > Report Properties and fields configure need.

Fields to configure:

  • Report ID: Enter a unique ID for the report.
  • Report Name: Name your report for easy identification.
  • Description: Provide a brief description of the report.

Configure page settings

Fields  to configure:

  • Paper Size: Default is A4 size.

    Available Options:

    • Letter
    • Tabloid
    • Legal
    • Statement
    • Executive
    • A3
    • A4
    • A5
    • B4
    • B5
    • 16 Kai
    • 32 Kai
    • Big 32 Kai
    • Customize Paper
  • Width (mm): Specify the page width.
    Available when Paper Size is set to Customize Paper.
  • Height (mm): Specify the page height.
    Available when Paper Size is set to Customize Paper.
  • Orientation: Default is Portrait.

    Available Options:

    • Portrait
    • Landscape
  • Margins (mm): Default is Normal.

    Available Options:

    • Normal
    • Narrow
    • Moderate
    • Wide
    • Customize Margin
  • Left Margin (mm): Set the left margin of the page.
    Available when Margins is set to Customize Margin.
  • Right Margin (mm): Set the right margin of the page.
    Available when Margins is set to Customize Margin.
  • Top Margin (mm): Set the top margin of the page.
    Available when Margins is set to Customize Margin.
  • Bottom Margin (mm): Set the bottom margin of the page.
    Available when Margins is set to Customize Margin.
  • Background Image: Upload an image to use as the report's background.
  • Background Image Type: Choose how the image should be displayed.
    • Cover
    • Contain
    • Repeat
  • Background Color: Select a background color using the color picker.
  • CSS for PDF Generation: Define custom CSS styles to be applied during the PDF generation of the report.

Configure parameters for preview use

Fields to configure:

  • Parameter Name: Define the parameter name to be used in the report.
  • Parameter Value: Assign a value to the parameter.
Note:
The parameter declared in Report Builder Properties is only available for preview. To use the parameter in another builder, you must set a different parameter name and value within that builder.
