Subreport

Introduction

The Subreport element enables you to embed one report within another, allowing for complex, layered reporting structures.

How to use it

To use the Subreport Report Element:

1. In your report designer, find the Subreport element in the palette.
2. Drag and drop it onto the report canvas where you need the space.

Configure subreport properties

Once the Subreport element is added, you can configure its properties to define the space's size.

Fields to configure:

• Report: Select the report to be loaded as a subreport.
• Data Store: Choose the appropriate list data store (optional).
• Report Parameters: When Data Store is not set, this option will appear. If the subreport has dynamic values that depend on report parameters, you can map the values here.
  
  • Name: Parameter name.
  • Value: Parameter value.
  • Default Value: Default parameter value if there is no value set.

Report parameters mapping

Fields to configure:

• Report Parameters:
• Name: Parameter name.
• Field: Field value retrieved from the binder to set as the parameter value. Available fields are based on the binder selected.
• Default Value: Default parameter value if there is no value set.
