Rule Permission

Introduction

The Rule Permission feature allows you to control menu permissions by checking the values of hash variables. This functionality enables you to customize access based on specific conditions, ensuring that only authorized users can view certain categories.

Get started

To utilize the Rule Permission feature, you must be familiar with hash variables and understand how to configure menu permissions in Joget.

Configure rule permission

In the figure below, this configuration only allows the username admin to access the category.

Fields to configure:

  • Join Type
    • AND
    • OR
  • Reverse Value: Check this box if you want to apply the equivalent of a NOT operator.
  • Hash Variable: Enter the hash variable that controls the visibility of the category.
  • Value: Specify the value that should be present in the hash variable to show the section.
    Example:
    Approved1|Approved2|Approved3
  • Using Regular Expression?: Enable this option to use regular expressions in the value field.
