Plugin Template - Datalist Column Formatter

Introduction

The Plugin Template - Datalist Column Formatter allows you to standardize and apply a consistent format across multiple columns in a Datalist. By creating a reusable template, you can streamline the formatting process, reduce manual errors, and enhance efficiency in the application design.

How to install

  1. Click Download on this plugin screen (It will be a .jar file).
  2. Go to your Joget localhost or server. In the Joget Console, go to Admin Bar > Systems Settings > Manage Plugins and click the Upload Plugins button.
  3. Under Upload Plugin, select the plugin .jar file you downloaded and click Upload.
  4. Depending on the plugin type, you can now view your new plugin in your form, List, or UI Builder.
  5. Remember to uninstall the old plugin before uploading a new version.

How to use it

  1. Launch the app and go to the Plugin Template Management menu.
  2. Click the New button to create a new Plugin Template.
  3. Fill in the Plugin Template Management page. Select one of the formatters under List Column Formatter.
  4. Click the Configure Plugin button to set up the plugin (e.g., Bean Shell Formatter). After configuring, submit the settings.
  5. Click the Save button to store the newly created Plugin Template for formatting Datalists.
  6. Go to the List - Plugin Template and open the List builder to start designing the Datalist.
  7. Preview the Datalist before applying the Plugin Template to see the original formatting.

  8. In the List builder, go to the properties of a column. Go to General > Action Mapping > Formatter, then select Plugin Template - Datalist Formatter from the drop-down list.
  9. In the Template field, select the template created in earlier steps and click OK to apply the template.
  10. Repeat steps 7 and 8 for any other columns you want to format using the Plugin Template. After formatting, save the Datalist.
  11. Preview the Datalist again to see the effect of applying the Plugin Template.

  12. Using one Plugin Template created, you can now apply the effect and format of the template to as many columns as you want in the Datalist builder, increasing efficiency and reducing the chance of human error.
