Passkeys Identity Provider Plugin

Administrator Configuration

Currently, no configuration is required by the plugin. Simply click the Submit button at the bottom right of the pop-up.

Step-by-step User Configuration

Adding a Passkey

  1. Go to your user profile, find the Identity Provider section.

If you do not see the section, please ensure the administrator has enabled the IdP feature and has at least one IdP plugin configured.
  1. Click on the Manage button next to the Passkey Identity Provider Plugin entry. A pop-up should appear.

  2. Click on Add a passkey. A prompt should appear asking for a name for the passkey. Click OK after entering a unique name for your passkey.

  3. Follow the steps for your browser or operating system to enroll the passkey in your device. The exact steps to enrol a passkey on each operating system and web browser will be different. However, the steps should generally be the same.
    The following screenshots were captured on a Windows operating system.

    1. Enter your device’s credentials to create and enroll a passkey into the device.

    2. The passkey is now enrolled in the device.

  4. The passkey is now registered, and the list should automatically update with the new passkey.

Logging In with a Passkey

  1. On the login page, click on the Login with a Passkey button.

  2. Follow the steps for your browser or operating system to enroll the passkey in your device. The exact steps to enrol a passkey on each operating system and web browser will be different. However, the steps should generally be the same.
    The following screenshots were captured on a Windows operating system using the Google Chrome web browser.

    1. Choose the passkey. Some web browsers or operating systems might skip this step if only one passkey for the website is saved.

    2. Enter your device’s credentials.

  3. You should now be logged in.
