Introduction

The Anthropic element connects Claude models to the AI Agent Builder, providing safe and reliable natural language capabilities. Claude is designed to deliver trustworthy and context-aware responses, with a strong focus on understanding subtle human questions while reducing misleading or irrelevant outputs.

The integration also offers configuration options to adapt responses to different workflows. You can choose the Claude model, define token limits, and specify API versions, giving you control over how outputs are generated while maintaining Claude’s emphasis on safety and alignment.

Get Started

To get started with Anthropic integration, you'll need the following:

• An Anthropic account from https://console.anthropic.com/login.
• A valid API key from https://console.anthropic.com/settings/keys.
• Access to your AI agent builder or development environment that supports LLM integration.

How to use it

To use the Anthropic Element:

Adding the Anthropic Service

1. Remove the default OpenAI element from the AI Agent Builder.
2. Drag and drop the Anthropic into the Add a LLM service section in Define Agent.
3. Important: You must provide a Model, a valid API key, an Anthropic Version, and a Max Token in its configuration to enable functionality.
   

Configure Form Properties

To properly integrate and configure Anthropic, set the following fields:

• Model: Model name to use for the LLM service. This should be compatible with the Anthropic at https://docs.anthropic.com/en/docs/about-claude/models/overview.
• API Key: API Key for the Anthropic API at https://console.anthropic.com/settings/keys.
• Proxy Domain: Proxy domain to use for the Anthropic API. If not set, the default Anthropic API URL will be used.
• API URL: The base endpoint you use to send requests to Anthropic’s service.
• Anthropic Version: Specifies the version of the Anthropic API you want to use at https://docs.anthropic.com/en/api/versioning.
• Max Tokens: The maximum number of tokens the model can generate in a single response. Must be an integer 1 or greater.
